FAQS

FAQ 1 – WHAT IS PILATES?

Pilates is a total body conditioning method that was developed by Joseph Pilates in order to optimise our functionality in daily life. Through Pilates countless exercises the body is strengthened and stretched simultaneously to improve balance and posture, develop long lean musculature and reduce stress.
Due to modern work culture and increased sedentary leisure time our bodies become unconditioned and sometimes don’t meet our daily needs.
The Pilates Method will increase strength and reduce tension in order for our bodies to continue to achieve our daily requirements and enjoy our pursuits for years to come.
“The Pilates Method of body conditioning develops the body uniformly, corrects posture, restores vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.” – Joseph Pilates
