Pilates Classes

Join Pilates classes at our boutique studio in Milton. Please contact us to book an initial consultation or to answer any questions regarding class styles and available times.

Initial Consultation

An Initial Consultation is required for anyone wishing to join Private, Duet or Semi Private classes or those with current pain or injuries.

Your initial consultation is a 1:1 session that allows us to take a case history, assess your body and determine what you would like to achieve through Pilates. This will provide valuable information in order for a specific program to be written for your needs and abilities.

In this session you will also be introduced to the fundamental concepts of the Pilates method, including breathing techniques and correct core connection.

Anyone new to Pilates will benefit from completing an Initial Consultation plus two privates in order to gain a firm understanding of the Pilates method that you can then take with you into Semi Private classes.

Private

A private lesson is a 1:1 class where your program is tailored to your needs and goals. You have the undivided attention of your instructor where your program will progress and advance when the time is right.

These lessons utilise the mat repertoire as well as the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, barrels and small apparatus.

Private classes can cater for injuries, pathologies, pre and postnatal as well as fit and well clients and advanced athletic conditioning.

Semi Private

Following your initial consultation you may wish to join a semi private class.

These classes take a maximum of 4 participants, each client working on their own tailored program under the supervision of one instructor.

The instructor rotates and shares their attention across the group of four clients undertaking their Pilates workout.

These lessons utilise the mat repertoire as well as the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, barrels and small apparatus.

Semi private classes can cater for injuries, pathologies, pre and postnatal as well as fit and well clients and advanced athletic conditioning.

Group Reformer

Group Reformer classes are a general dynamic Pilates class conducted on the piece of Pilates equipment called the Reformer.

Reformer classes are recommended for active people who are pain and injury free.

This class will elevate your expectations of strength and endurance while challenging your muscles and your mind. A total body workout, creatively utilising the Reformer with a variety of props to challenge you in unique ways each class.

Combining breath, with controlled & isolated movement and mental focus, this class will allow you to connect with muscles you never knew you had. An alignment based class, designed to challenge you to rediscover your posture, and find balance and stability, as you strengthen your body in new ways. Classes vary in difficulty so please chat to us about what would be best suited to you and your experience.


***Important Note

The group Reformer are NOT suitable if you are injured, suffer from a chronic illness/conditions or are pregnant. If your aim is to join a group Reformer class we recommend starting with one of our Intro packages which includes a comprehensive Initial Assessment.

* Please note group format classes may not be appropriate for all clients, this can be assessed in your Initial Consult.

What do I need to bring to class?

Either socks or bare feet are fine – we recommend grip socks as they will provide a bit of traction on the machine; however, regular socks are fine but may be prone to slipping on occasion. Generally for Pilates, we recommend wearing clothing that allows you to move with ease.

We will provide the rest – The Pilates Hundred uses world-class Balanced Body Allegro Reformers and high-quality small props such as foam rollers, therabands, magic circles and more.
